Terms and Conditions

Last updated 20 August 2026

These terms govern your purchase and use of SadaCast, software published by Syed Talib Imam Zaidi, trading as STZ Developer ("we", "us"), of Pakistan. By installing or using SadaCast you agree to them.

1. What you are buying

SadaCast is a macOS application that broadcasts a folder of video files continuously to your own YouTube channel, with on-screen graphics, scheduling and live camera switching.

A licence is a one-time purchase and does not expire. It permits use on one Mac, for one broadcast channel, by one institution or individual. Buying additional Macs or channels requires additional licences.

Each licence includes twelve months of updates and support from the date of purchase. After that the software continues to work indefinitely; only new updates and support require an optional renewal (the "Care Plan"). We will never disable software you have already paid for.

2. What you may and may not do

3. Your content and your accounts

You keep all rights to your video and audio. SadaCast reads only the folder you choose and sends video to the destination you configure. We never receive your media.

You are responsible for holding the necessary rights to everything you broadcast, and for complying with the terms of any platform you stream to, including YouTube and Facebook. You are responsible for the accounts and credentials you connect.

4. Third-party services

SadaCast connects to services you choose โ€” YouTube, and optionally Facebook, Telegram or WhatsApp. Those services are outside our control. If a provider changes its rules, pricing, or availability, or suspends your account, we will help you where we can but we are not responsible for the consequences.

5. Support

Support is provided by email at support@sadacast.com during the included twelve months, or while a Care Plan is active. We aim to reply within two working days. We are a small team and do not offer guaranteed response times or on-site attendance unless separately agreed in writing.

5a. macOS versions and compatibility

SadaCast runs on Apple silicon Macs (M1 or newer), on the macOS versions listed on sadacast.com at the time of your purchase. Apple revises macOS every year, and those revisions can stop working software from working โ€” signing rules tighten, permissions change, interfaces are withdrawn. That is true of every Mac application and is not within our control.

Keeping SadaCast working on new macOS releases is part of updates. During your included twelve months, or while a Care Plan is active, we provide the builds needed for new macOS versions within a reasonable time of their release.

Without an active Care Plan, your copy keeps working on the macOS it is running โ€” section 1 stands, and we never disable anything. We are simply not obliged to make it run on a macOS released after your updates ended. If you upgrade macOS and SadaCast breaks, you can renew the Care Plan or pay a one-off reinstatement fee for a compatible build; that fee will never exceed the Care Plan price then in force, and we will tell you the amount first.

One piece of advice we will repeat at install: a Mac whose job is broadcasting gains little from a macOS upgrade. If you are out of support, ask us before upgrading.

We do not support beta versions of macOS, or versions Apple itself has stopped maintaining. Nothing in this section limits consumer rights that cannot be excluded by agreement.

5b. Key replacement

A lost key costs nothing โ€” write to us and we resend it. The rules below are about a key that has been compromised: found in use outside your institution, which section 2 does not permit.

The first compromised key in any 24 months is replaced free โ€” we assume good faith. A second within 24 months carries a US$49 replacement fee. A third is treated as continued material breach under section 8, with the 14-day notice that section provides. Replacements keep your original dates: being re-keyed never shortens โ€” or extends โ€” what you paid for.

If your updates-and-support period has ended, replacement keys are provided through a Care Plan renewal (US$99/year), which also restores updates and the assistant. A rotation you request yourself as a precaution โ€” for example after a staffing change โ€” is free while support is active and never counts against you. Replacements we initiate are always free.

6. Payment

Orders are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, invoicing and applicable sales taxes. Paddle's own terms apply to the transaction, and their name may appear on your bank or card statement alongside ours.

6a. Founding offer

The founding price of US$149 (instead of US$299) is limited to the first ten institutions to complete a purchase, or to 31 December 2026, whichever happens first. When the offer closes, the price is US$299.

The limit counts institutions, not licences: renewing or reissuing a licence for an institution that already holds a founding place does not use another place. If we offered you a founding place in writing before the offer closed, we will honour it even if the ten places have since been taken.

A founding licence includes the same twelve months of updates, support and assistant answers as any other, and the Care Plan is free for the first year. It carries no other obligation: you are not required to provide a testimonial or a case study, and declining to do so changes nothing about your licence.

7. No warranty, and limits on liability

SadaCast is provided "as is". We have tested it and run it ourselves in continuous production, but we cannot promise that any broadcast will be uninterrupted or error-free โ€” broadcasting depends on your Mac, your internet connection, your electricity supply and the platform you stream to, none of which we control.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to SadaCast is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost viewers, lost donations, lost recordings or missed broadcasts. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Ending the agreement

You may stop using SadaCast at any time. We may end your licence only if you materially breach these terms โ€” for example by redistributing licence keys โ€” and do not put it right within 14 days of us asking.

9. Changes

We may update these terms for future purchases. The version in force when you bought your licence continues to apply to that purchase.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes will be handled by its courts.
